Contracting without agency so how about the timesheets?

    Hi

I am starting my first contract and have gone direct to the company who one of my friends also contracts for.

In regards to timesheets what is the best way to submit? should i create a manual timesheet or find an online invoice timesheet producer?

    cheers

Unless the client request it, just send an invoice

So will Direct with client + No timesheet = outside IR35?

No timesheet will probably mean no or disputed pay so probably yes.

As bad debt is a business indicator within the HMRC guidelines so yes outside IR35 as in business on your own account.

I am direct at a client and I deliberately produce a weekly timesheet, more like a 'statement of work carried out' but also to specify what hours I have worked in the week. The client checks this and I then raise a invoice.

Permies don't do timesheets here, so this is a differentiator for me as a contractor.
