    Grievance and Disciplinary Procedure

By legal advice, there should be a grievance and disciplinary procedure for you to follow. You should either check in your contract of employment or ask your manager. It will usually be required for you to go through any internal procedure first, before taking any other legal action.

So, you signed a contract for 12 months that you wanted to get out of early (post 1), then after being there for nine months you were facing redundancy and asking if you were entitled to a pay out (post 2). And now, you've been suspended, based on a false accusation.

You don't have much luck, do you

They could just dismiss you during your probationary period, if you are employed, without recourse.

Look to your contract and the company grievance procedures. Hint : ask HR department.

You certainly don't appear to be a contractor.

So he was accused, wanted to quit in protest, but couldn't because of the contract. They then offered redundancy but with no redundancy payment so they could sweep it under the carpet, he didn't agree to that, so now they have suspended him?

            Or, he's really Walter Mitty.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]
