You can't - H1B visa is tied to an employer, there is no way unless perchance you are an American citizen too.

They have no equivalent of our HSMP now Tier 1 visa.

There's no way to contract within the US, unless you're a permanent resident or a US citizen, but you can be sponsored for an employment visa by a US company (although it's increasingly difficult to secure an H1b, for example). You can also contract for US companies from the UK, of course, but that's a separate issue.

Stay in Europe as least if you end up severely ill you can afford the healthcare and family can easily fly to see you.

Even if you could, bear in mind that American companies see contracting as a very different thing to the UK.

If you are a good contractor, they will reward you with a permie offer.
