Nice - and probably very rare!

Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that this may not be the last I have heard on this one....

Now, had the gig been more or less on my doorstep, I may have carried on the negotiations...of course, contract would need to reflect WFH and biscuits being provided each day also
Tell them that the -10% rate is your WFH rate. So, you'll accept at that rate if it's 5 days WFH. Every day that they want you on-site, they pay the full rate.

Then they have an incentive to accept the idea of working from home.

Now there's an idea - would never fly, I am sure (and not quite sure I would want it to!), but......interesting retort to all the shenanigans they have been spouting

I had an agent ask me what my day rate was. When I told him, he then converted it to Euros, as the client was European.

When the contract came through, it was the Euros price but in pounds, adding a nice chunk onto my day rate.

                    cojak: £1000 per day.

                    Pimp: That's not a range.
