Nice - and probably very rare!Originally posted by stek View PostI had one rate go up 10 quid a day when contract arrived, think pimp forgot he'd creamed it off early doors.....
Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that this may not be the last I have heard on this one....

Tell them that the -10% rate is your WFH rate. So, you'll accept at that rate if it's 5 days WFH. Every day that they want you on-site, they pay the full rate.Originally posted by kevpuk View PostNo doubt!
TBH, WFH is all well and good, but this gig would have involved staying away during the week anyway (which I currently do, FWIW) and hence the reduced cost of WFH is one night's Spareroom/Hotel - nowhere near enough to compensate 5x <agreed rate - 10%>
Now, had the gig been more or less on my doorstep, I may have carried on the negotiations...of course, contract would need to reflect WFH and biscuits being provided each day also
Then they have an incentive to accept the idea of working from home.Comment

Now there's an idea - would never fly, I am sure (and not quite sure I would want it to!), but......interesting retort to all the shenanigans they have been spoutingOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostTell them that the -10% rate is your WFH rate. I had an agent ask me what my day rate was. When I told him, he then converted it to Euros, as the client was European.Originally posted by stek View PostI had one rate go up 10 quid a day when contract arrived, think pimp forgot he'd creamed it off early doors.....
When the contract came through, it was the Euros price but in pounds, adding a nice chunk onto my day rate.Comment
