This suggests the market is decent:
IT contractor demand climbs to 25-month high :: Contractor UK
IME it continues to be fair but not great.Comment

Thing is we can't just talk about the contracting market and hope to make any sense of it. Our market covers first line support right up to director level posts in a mix of hardware, software, BI, business and service management. I can't even define the scope it is so wide. So to say 'How is the contract market' is just meaningless. The fact we are all specialists doesn't help, we can't move in to areas that are buoyant either. If the 'market' is being propped up by dev that is no use to service guys etc so unless you say the dev market or PM market I can't see how we can quantify it.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment

I got scared before when someone was saying how poor the market was and they were on the bench for the first time etc. Then later they mentioned that they lived in Scotland, refused to work away from home and refused to work in a bank - hence there were several potential roles but they did not meet the very strict screening criteria.Comment

Web PM
There appear to be plenty of Web/Digital PM and BA roles. Not sure if that helps many/any of you, but there you go.The idiots are winningComment
