Prior to being selected for interview I received an email from the agency quoting the rate for a Test analyst (TA) role. I paid little attention simply because there was no job yet. Further down the line I was indeed interviewed for the TA role. However during the interview I was actually offered and accepted a Test Lead role. Next day I got a call from the agency saying I got the job and she told me the rate. I then signed the contract. A few weeks down the road I stumble across the initial email and find that the rate quoted for the TA role was the same as the rate I was being paid for the Test Lead role! Stupid me. Now, having signed the contract I'm not sure of the legalities in renegotiating my rate given the proof I have. I'd appreciate any feedback on this.
