So I get a call from them. I point out that my company and job description is changing alot so they might as well not bother. I am then asked if they should add notes to the system to that effect. I ask them to remove me. But the system does not allow for people to be removed!

And he still had the cheek to ask if I could recommend anyone. I put the phone down at that point.

Not so fast...

Last year I had an agent that was clearly not having a great time of it and was always fishing for leads. He was a nice bloke so I fed him some and tried to help him a bit. He left the agency business in the end as he wasn't enjoying it. He has turned up as a resourcer for a company that I would like to work with in the future. I had made sure I stayed in touch with him and linked in when he was leaving the last job.

I had spoken to him looking to get into the company from a freelance position. He couldn't do any contract stuff, but yesterday I had an interview for a senior position within that company with a package that will match my day rate and WFH, While the external adds are recruiting at 60k max package!

So a little kindness and effort is sometimes well spent..

They used to be one of the level two suppliers at my last permie place. While they didn't really supply me with many good CVs (I work in a niche area), they seemed okay and at least they sent me CVs that were relevant to the job spec, which is more than some of the others on the PSL did.
