Looking at the posts on CUK from newbies, I was thinking of translating their posts into something that makes sense to the rest of the guys as my Plan B.
If I charge say a tenner a post, how long before I can quit my daily routine and take over NLUK full time on this board?Comment

Well if the capital outlay isn't large I say write out a business plan and give it a go."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Better still just advertise as if you were already in business and if you get a big response go out and buy the stuff there and then, if that's not possible just tell them sorry it's already hired out.
What I wouldn't do is go out and buy whole lot of "equipment" that clutters up the house, and no-one wants to hire, which is probably the most likely outcome.I'm alright JackComment

Which is why you need a business plan – you can think about it without having to put the cash up first.- What do you want to sell?
- Why do you want to sell it (is there a market for it)?
- How do you want to sell it?
- What equipment do you need for startup? For growth?
- What legal issues do you need to consider?
- How are you going to pay for startup?
- How long will startup take?
- What is the forecast for when profit is greater than costs?
- How are you going to promote your business?
- How are you going to convert promotion into sales?
- What profit indicates success?
- What does success look like – and what next steps are you going to take if you see it?
- What loss indicates failure?
- What does failure look like – and when/how are you going to stop if you see it?
(PS. I know that you know this BB, the list is for newbies...)"I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Classic. Copying and pasting that list called 'business plan' & trying to keep a straight face that it's actually a useful list for someone looking to start a business is either a massive windup or you have no idea how to define a business plan.Originally posted by cojak View PostWhich is why you need a business plan – you can think about it without having to put the cash up first.- What do you want to sell?

This list has worked for me in the past
Anything that will make you think before you blow money is good in my book."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
