    Days -> Weeks -> Months

    40 days -> 8 weeks -> 2 months on the bench

    Amazing how it soon passes isn't it? Hope it doesn't get to the 'years' marker.

    Well and truly absolutely f***ing p***ed f***ing off with this industry. I'm giving it until the end of this week then I'm not wasting my time anymore. Had enough.

    I hated being on the bench but the warchest was good for 6 months plus. It is part of contracting I am afraid. Not a common occurance I don't think but certainly one to be expected or planned for as it is going to become more and more common IMO.

        I've been on the bench for about 6 weeks too. Had 2 interviews cancelled and 1 offer withdrawn at the last minute.

        Frustrating.

          Yep. I've had one offer evaporate too.

          What happened to the good times? Distant memory. 2012 will be the worst year yet. At least in 2008/9 interviews were plentiful.

              What is this bench you talk about Captain Kirk?

                I feel for you, 6 weeks and two interviews but nothing further. Not a peep.

                What field?

                  Only 6 month? Are you sure you're cut out to be a contractor?

                    More than cut out, hence not needing more than 6 months baby....
