Last week I was interviewed for well known divestment program and the agent says that my status was set to "on hold". How to interpret this? Apparently a few people got rejected and no one else got an offer yet (or so agent says).

Standard agency comment - basically means the job isn't yours, you're not good enough.Originally posted by mos View PostLast week I was interviewed for well known divestment program and the agent says that my status was set to "on hold". Keep looking and move on to the next gig.
It is yet another standard agency saying for you didn't get the gig.
Good luck with the search.Comment

Vacancy doesn't exist and agent is on a fishing trip.Originally posted by mos View PostLast week I was interviewed for well known divestment program and the agent says that my status was set to "on hold". I am also very suspicious about this job, as this bank is known to produce job specs / numbers for each opening – but not for the jobs for which I have been recently interviewed.Originally posted by petergriffin View PostVacancy doesn't exist and agent is on a fishing trip.Last edited by mos; 6 March 2012, 22:31.If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.Comment

I am scrupulously polite about ex-coworkers without being too keen. You never know the interviewer's agenda.Originally posted by mos View PostI am also very suspicious about this job, as this bank is known to produce job specs / numbers for each opening – but not for the jobs for which I have been recently interviewed. I worked there twice before – and during recent interviews I was being questioned in detail about my previous experience at this bank. Is it possible that hiring managers are also phonies these days and re fishing for dirt on their coworkers (have I mentioned that hiring managers were newbies at the bank) ?"I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
