Last week I was interviewed for well known divestment program and the agent says that my status was set to "on hold". How to interpret this? Apparently a few people got rejected and no one else got an offer yet (or so agent says).

Keep looking and move on to the next gig.
It is yet another standard agency saying for you didn't get the gig.
