I waited 4 months once. I was the best candidate but an internal permie came up. It did not work out.

3 weeks (Barclays). Pi$$up in a brewery and all that.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Are you sure that is what the OP asked?? If it was it makes no sense to me.

Not quite sure what the point of a question like this is except for the OP to spot and answer he likes and stick to it.

but to play the game. 4 weeks longest.

6 weeks - one months notice and then 2 weeks holiday which I already boked. I had to call in sick for the last 2 days of the notice period so that I could start the new contract for 2 days before my 2 week holiday.

              Maybe poorly structured question.

              Is it either of these:

              1) How long has a client been prepared to wait for you to join the project?
              or
              2) How long have you waited to start the project post being offered the role?
              Clarity is everything

                You think? I thought

new contract had waited for you
                was quite clear.

Never had a problem with a months notice.
