Anybody worked there before? Also any idea on the cheapest way to stay there during the week? Got a possible gig lined up there.

Just had a look - it turns out it's the building on Golden Lane specifically. Surely there must be a cheaper option than that - although it would still be worth while....Comment

I was looking a gig in Westminister, sacked it cos of the cost of accom. and that was a 600/dayer. Just not worth it....Comment

The only good thing about Golden Lane is the nearby leisure centre.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostJust had a look - it turns out it's the building on Golden Lane specifically. Surely there must be a cheaper option than that - although it would still be worth while....Comment

You couldn't find anywhere nearby that was reasonable enough to afford on 600/day??Originally posted by stek View PostI was looking a gig in Westminister, sacked it cos of the cost of accom. and that was a 600/dayer. Just not worth it....

I've worked in that area before, there's loads to do i.e. pubs, food choices, gyms, strippers etc.
I'd recommend staying towards East London for lower rental. You can get a tube to Liverpool St (or Moorgate / Bank) which takes about 5 minutes.Comment

I hear there's a new invention in London that gets around the problem of high city-centre hotel costs. It's called the Choob or something....Blog? What blog...?

I'm already in a contact for less than that obviously (but not that much) but my only current expenses are season ticket on train - £250 a month and I get home every night.Originally posted by Mr.Whippy View PostYou couldn't find anywhere nearby that was reasonable enough to afford on 600/day??
I reckoned the weekly expenses to to be 700 quid plus there's the away from home factor - that's 140 quid off the daily rate already.
Still ongoing this one, they want to DV me - hence my post on that a while back, which also makes me a bit nervous, and means also absolutely no WFH....
This has dragged for a month or more already, so if come end of current gig (April) it might be ripe and I'll have no choice!Comment
