    face to face with Agent

Do you do it? Sometimes it feels like a waste of time, and there isn't really a client behind it. I do not even remember landing a contract with a client when I did meet the agent for a one2one.

I think I did it once - got the agent to buy me coffee near where I was working.

Of course I never sign a contract unless the agent is buying lunch.

Just tell him you'll need 2 references first (to make sure he's not a sex offender or serial time waster)

I've met agents on three four occasions, one came to nothing, one I got a 6 month gig, two I got through to interview, but turned them down. they're generally not wasting your time. the exception is if they're putting you throu for a role, but wantto talk about your training plan first, full of tulip, they just want to sell you a course

I second the "waste of time" comments.

I went to one 3 or 4 years ago when I was trying to get back into contracting with Venn Group which came to nothing, and rather stupidly about a month ago when current contract was delayed and I thought it wasn't going to happen, I panicked a bit and saw them on a false hope of 2 banking contracts. All came to nothing.

Ditto - done it once, wouldn't do it again - waste of time
