      feature list?

what would an 'agency-centric' site show?

filterable - so you can see who 'S3' are without having to check the forums?

'poster of the month' - agent who posts the most ? :P

companies house check? (is this a UK company?) is it labour recruitment?

this is before we get to any defamatory material i think?

we could have a rating system. Perhaps registration and probation membership to qualify for the vote?

The internet has many review and rating sites and they seem to thrive - i dont see how legal will be an issue but suggestions are welcome as to how to deal with any possible pitfalls

        just a thought ...

perhaps an additional level of "agent" is required... ie one which represents the contractor...

a contractors agency would represent contractors and deal with the 'employment businesses' - a bit like actors agents - could filter out locations of no interest, would know details of contractors availability, better at filtering positions based on skill sets, if representing>1 suitable candidate does so without bias etc...

course would mean another 10% or so from rates ...

wow, this idea is really taking shape!!!! Out of interest, how long would it take you to build up a prototype of this website?

A website that provides factual information about the financial status of agencies and which agencies are on which PSL. When I sell DodgyContractors ltd this is how I will invest my ill gotten gains.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

There used to be a website like this, about 5 or 6 years ago. Basically it was a list of agents and agencies and a rating. Buggered if I can remember the address though.

You just don't get it, do you! Unless they are looking for permie work they are not seeking a job, therefore you can't look for one for them.

Whatever help you give a contractor to represent him or her for roles, ultimately your client is the end-client, not the contractor. Otherwise the contractor you're talking about would have exclusivity rights to roles becoming available. Plainly, that is not the case - not ever.
