Clientco demands work beyond scope of duties on contract

Client co demands and receives work beyond scope of contract whilst paying a rate not fitting to this more advanced pieces of work.

Would you get your agent to immediately point this out to clientco and demand the correct rate, or just wait until renewal time?

    Don't ask, don't get.

Yes, I'd have a chat with the agent and work with them to help them increase their commission by getting your rate increased.

Don't get shirty with the agent - this is an opportunity for both of you.

If nothing works, as a final resort, say you want a personal reference from your manager at the end of the contract stating you performed way over and above the role description; you can use that in future interviews and applications.

      Ask.

However you may find that agent has put loads of money in his/her pocket.

This particular ID has been around for quite a while, admittedly I'm convinced (even more now than before) that it's a troll sockie. It's not on performing sockpuppetry in Business or Accounting sections.

WTMS - I have a suspicion I know who the sockie owner is too.

contractor79 - perhaps you are just sh!t at your job and un-able to do the work in a normal working day.

Do you have a horse riding, stetson wearing colleague who you could coral into helping?

I'm an awesome contractor. I don't like dealing with amateurs, frauds or bunny boilers. The same applies to this silly forum. And people who eat lollipops need to just move aside when I walk into a room.
