Agencies I would recommend working through.

Which agencies have you worked through and which would you recommend to others?

    My only 2 to-date.

Modis International, weekly invoicing, paid on time. 3 years. Oh yeah and a free diary at Christmas.

Ikas International, monthly invoicing, specified payments schedule, 6 months so far, heading for 12.
Invoice 1st Tuesday paid the following Friday.
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

This is could actually be quite a good thread as its good to know up front the payment schedule for an agency and whether they pay on time sometimes you find out too late!

For me so far so good -

Champion - Ran weekly, Invoice/TS in Mon paid by following Fri and paid on time.

Bandenoch & Clark - Weekly, Invoice/TS in Mon paid by following Friday and on time.

SmartSourcing (?) - Weekly, Invoice/TS in Mon paid by following Friday and on time.

Current - Monarch - Monthly (Boo) apparently (new gig) Invoice/TS by Tuesday will be paid the following Friday...we will see.......

Another vote for Badenoch & Clark. They pay weekly on time and I've never had a fishing call from them.

Did some work through Alexander Mann a while ago. You had to invoice by midday Tuesday and they would pay a month later.

Should have invoiced them weekly because having up to 2 months fees outstanding is a lot of credit to be extending....

My last 3 contracts have presented me with no hassle over payments, contract negotiations and renewals. All were paid weekly or fortnightly as agreed.

My current agency, Creation Recruitment, deserve a shout here for their astonishing ability to pay the cash into my company bank account on the same day as I submit my invoice and timesheet each week. Very impressed so far.

                DATS

                Fircroft

                First Technical

                Wilde Recruitment

I wish this thread would have started few months ago. I am with CF on a long term contract. The payment terms is 21 days, which I thought was good, as I believed the standard is 28 days. But reading this thread, it is not the case.
Do you guys think it is worth asking the agency to change the T&C at this stage? I am about 25% into the contract.
There should be a rating on CUK where we can rate an agency based on Payment Terms, Contracts offered, Approachability and Number of Fishing calls!
                  What say?

Personally speaking? No. You signed the contract on the basis you were happy with the T's & C's. To ask for them to change it may not work for you. How would you feel if they asked to change the contract to state you can't give any notice during your contract period?

I appreciate you are not asking for a lot, but once you have signed the contract, you should stick to it. If they try and change the contract, then you can try your luck then.
