FormanIT - weekly invoicing, paid every Friday. They even contacted me when they received the weekly confirmation from client confirming the number of days I'd done that week, but I'd forgotten to invoice FormanIT. So that was a nice touch.Comment

I was going to ask the same question 'how easy is it to negotiate payment terms' I imagine if it set to eg 28 days that they want it like that so it may be a fight to get it changed??
Couldn't they just say they on run one payment run each month and thats the end of the arguement you either accept the risk or not.Comment

Hays IT who I'm working through currently. I've timesheeted on the monday, tuesday and even the thursday, and the money's always been in my account the same friday. Their contractor care team is very helpful and efficient on the phone, call you back and sort things out within a couple of hours.Comment

Originally posted by Belle View PostWow, I've just received a contract for perusal and it states 30 days payment after receipt of invoice. Will definitely try to negotiate that down after reading this thread. Have others had positive outcomes negotiating payment terms?
I take the approach that I don't extend credit past 14 days to any client (in the past I got badly burned by a slow payer) and if necessary I'll turn down a contract over the payment terms.Comment
