I try and avoid certain agencies but, when push comes to shove, a job is a job irrespective of who the agency is.

Get their contract reviewed and amended by the likes of Bauer & Cotterill. Get the rate you want and win \ win.

        Just add my two penneth.

Despite the fact that they pay their consultants reasonably well, and the benefits with them are strong (Aston Martins kicking around as incentives, big spot bonuses, etc etc) - I wouldn't work for an SThree Group company if they offered me £millions!

            S3

Well you will be pleased to hear that one of the founders of S3 has bought this house on Wimbledon Common and has done rather well from them.

Their payroll department has opened again and explained that the payment dates they sent for the Christmas period aren't what they appear to be. I.e. They meant one thing last week when they paid on time, but a different thing today when my company hasn't been paid.

Absolutely shambolic and it'll be interesting to see what they do with my invoice for interest and charges incurred by the late payment last month which breached their payment terms. I'm guessing they'll just bin it.

                This subject is outdated

I have contracted via computer futures for over 5 years and i have never had any of the problems mentioned upon this forum. get a life guys they would not be a multi-national organisation if they continually under performed with their clients.

Good for you. I however wouldn't touch an sThree agent with yours. Did you get your contract checked?

I've had a contract with CF for about 6 months. Apart from setting up my account incorrectly at the start, and delaying my payment for about 2 months, and yeah charging huge markup nothing was wrong.

And just to be fair on them, they do invited me for couple of contractors events, and a lunch occasionally.

Nothing extraordinary that would set them apart from other agencies tbh.

                      Dave.
