No, they still look at your finances for SC to see if they are in a mess and hence be bribed into doing something naughty.

Might vary from place to place, but when I did mine many moons ago, I had to send the forms back to the vetting/security department of my sponsor. The only exception being that you could put the criminal record in a sealed envelope if you wanted to.

For SC, nothing much, just things like have you been declared bankrupt, CCJ's, loan defaults etc etc nothing like a DV check.

ie Who's name I have to give to DVA..?
Personally, I'd always put the end client,as they will probably contact them to confirm you did actually work there. If it's not possible to name the end client, then the consultancy.

Shouldn't have lied then, should you? Or did you lie to HMRC too?

Make your mind up. Richard Cranium would be accusing you of being a recruitment agent by now.

          Oh dear. Now what?

Think again. However, they will only do a credit check.

So, you are going for an SC role - a role requiring trust and integrity - and you openly admit on here you are a liar. I do not know what surprises me more, your brazen audacity or that anyone answered your questions.

However, from what I know of the process, you will get away with it. Which is a shame.

Are you familiar with the expression: "It is contractors like you who give the rest of us a bad name"?

Well am sorry for being so harsh but it's a black and white issue. What do people want in this situation?? SYmpathy? You fudge a system through dubious techniques and then come on to a public forum requesting information how to get out of the problem you got yourself in? You are gonna get the odd harsh response. Lets be honest you are getting advice how to get away without being sacked or worse. The best advice your really getting is don't lie on your cv again.

I have a personal beef about situations like this and so should every honest person on the bench that lost a gig due to someone lying. Maybe some people can ignore this fact cause it hasn't happened to them (or so they think) but not me. Sorry guys

+1 again. Bad enough competing with the genuine people in this market as it is, without having to worry about all the bulltuliper's out there getting roles they possibly can't do... I hope they all get rumbled and contract terminated so the honest people can get a crack of the whip. Unlikely, but I live in hope
