CV same client but various business areas, 1 heading or sub-headings

Just updating my CV with my last gig on it. During my last gig I actually worked for 3 different business areas one after the other still using the same technolgy but projects aims were different. How would you list this on your CV should I have one main heading, then sub heading for each area I worked in or one overall heading and summarise the fact I worked in 3 different areas/projects in the actual text ?

Show them as separate proejcts. That they were for the same client is merely a coincidence: after all, you are hired to deliver projects, not work for a specific company, aren't you...

I think this has to be considered on a case by case basis depending on what your applying for.

I would guess in some situations if the technology is a major requirement of your next gig then roll it up in to one and showing much more detail on the technology without wasting lines of valuable text repeating stuff about the projects.

If the gig requires work on similar projects then break them out in to three so showing three times more experience in that field

The longer you contract it will be harder and harder to get your full experience on two pages. Do whatever is best for the gig your applying for and make the CV fit the job criteria.

Depends how short your current cv is!

If it needs padding include them separately. If its already large, lump it together.

Just show on the CV exactly what aspects of the past work the next potential client wants to see. It's normal for me to do that.

I find that a Main Heading and Sub headings relating to Business/Functional
areas works for me and highlights what the client/agent is looking for ie

Botchit & Scarper - Landsend- Senior Functional Guy

Accounts Payable- Configuration stuff
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
Accounts Receivable -End user trainer
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx
General Ledger - Responsible for testing
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Cost Accounting -Functional Specifications
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

If the client is looking for someone with Training experience you can
then do a quick search on "trainer" and add some lines under the sub-heading
and delete sub-headings which are irrelevant for the role.
