6 month contract is actually 3 months?!

I signed a 6 month contract with the agency with 28 days notice from my point of view, but they called the client and declared that it was a 3 month contract expiring next month.

If I leave at end of 3 month and don't get/don't take extension can I sue the agency?

no there will be a get out clause.

I son't see it as a big deal, possible that the agency tried it on, but I doubt it a lot of contractors on the bench willing for 3 months. More likely that the client rescoped.
