    Cost of sale

I also got the information from BDO and was somewhat intrigued to note just how little vertias' information was sold to ESS for. Something like 80K?

Is there anyway you could get a contract to make you a secured creditor? Not sure how this works but the banks can do this so contractors should be able to as well.

Not an expert, but banks are secured creditors because they will have taken out security at the outset when they lent the money. I can't see how a supplier could do the same thing, especially retrospectively

Well not retrospectively but in new contracts for the future could you become a secured creditor of the agency.

IF the agent doesn't think they are not going to go bankrupt why would they object?

            bdo

Incredible. It appears that veritas was quite badly managed but whether it is criminal is a different question. Incompetence is not a crime. Finance director of the year? There must be something we can do to strip him of that title. I did ask BDO if in the process of administration do they check for evidence of criminal activity or negligence - they do file a report with the companies house if they find it but it is completely confidential. So unless they take action we'll never know.

              ESS invoices

I didn't work once I found out about Veritas (I was owed over 20k and was off sick), and have moved on to a new contract. My old contract expired anyway. ESS invoiced my old client for every week since they purchased the book debt to the last day of my contract. They did this despite the fact I did not work that time, supplied no timesheet or invoice, and signed no contract with ESS. Did anyone else have the same experience?

                ??????????

Ess have been invoicing for people that didn't even start let a lone people that were off sick. I have my report from BDO. How lucky were ESS buying Veritas for £86K. There must be a conection between BDO and ESS for that to have happened. Pramod financial Director of the year like I said previously a joke....Infact it is not funny. How could he face all the staff when he knew the state of the company. Where is the joker anyway??

                  All makes sense

OK ts all becoming clear. How could any company have outstanding debts of this much? You just don't let this happen to your company. How can 3 directors of a company not know the financial status of their company? 1 maybe but not all 3. Why would any company owner allow a financial director to have complete control over their company. This isn't bad management or stupidy this was done on purpose. I have no idea why but it will have something to do with all of them cashing in. A criminal offence has been commited here and they are getting away with it. Why was ESS or U recruitment the only company allowed to buy Veritas? Why was it only sold for £86K with so much outstanding debt? I think a number of people in accounts could answer some of these questions. Something very fishy has been going on and it should be investigated. BDO have some questions to answer as well. ESS ( U recruitment) have access to ALL of the Veritas's staff e-mails. That means if anyone has logged personnal details like bank account details etc ESS will have it all. A lot of money G M and J did not have was spent in the last year.....why? Are we actually going to drop this and let these failing recruitment consultants get away with this????????

Too right this is the right room for an argument. Misjustice has happened here and something needs to be done about it. If Cable finance bought the company then why are ESS chasing invoices from the clients? I could have bought Veritas for £86K or more and I am no one. With a Mil of debts outstanding its a no brainer! I will email Emma, can't do any harm. Can't believe half of Veritas have walked away from this, I can't stand being lied to and thieved from. I am still so mad
