I always do remote interviews on an iPad so I have an excuse not to write code.

I am pretty good at what I do but it is not natural to write code with two people looking over your shoulder so I push back on it as much as possible.

A truly terrible one in 2019. Everything since then has been great in comparison.

      No return to the office.

2018 for a Welsh Gov department.
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in a Welsh Gov office now to do a face-to-face, it appears 90% or so are flat refusing to return to the office!

The last couple of years have really shown the value of unions - official and unofficial.

My last interview was beginning of 2005. That was face to face.

I've met you. I'd avoid a face to face interview with you as well.

It was my last interview of any kind. After that it was all word of mouth and contacts - one of which was through this forum.

In summer 2017 I had three face to face interviews for a new gig with a FTSE100 firm. First was with the CIO, second with Head of HR and third with two other Directors. All were relatively informal. I actually enjoy face to face interviews and miss them as I much prefer them to Teams or Zoom.

Hoping to finalise a new gig today. If confirmed, that will be the sixth in a row in last six years that have all come through my network and referrals, so even the online interviews are getting quite short.
