Why? HMRC put the rules in place. If they have a gig that meets those rules then it can be outside. How can it contradict everything?'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

It just feels wrong on every level, lead by example. I'd love to see the JD for that role, anybody care to share?Originally posted by northernladuk View Post

Well it won't have a JD for the role because it's not a job is it. It's a contract for services. I think it's your perception that is the problem here. HMRC make rules that they also must abide by and if they do then everything is fine. Just because it's HMRC, and there are a lot of different areas of HMRC, not just IR35, doesn't mean it's impossible to be outside.Originally posted by virtualm View Post

The digital space at HMRC is arguably the most mature of all the Government departments. It has a large community, each tailored to your digital profession / discipline.
The people saying it is wrong that they have Outside IR35 roles, and asking for job descriptions, are beyond clueless.
In my humble opinion, an Outside gig at HMRC is watertight. You just need to do your due diligence with the pimp who is putting you in, as they are not all created equal.Comment
