I'm with Barclays who I'm paying £12.50 a month to. Don't feel comfortable leaving large amounts of money in accounts with challenger banks like Starling or Tide.

      When do the repayments start?
Um why - it's all state backed to the same £85,000.

Already have. We were going to pay it back but decided the interest was so low it wasn't any rush. Probably should check how the increased rate has affected the BBL come to think of it.

If my accountant didn't provide FA then this seems the clear winner, although are they still doing that promotion?
How do you only pay 70p?

NatWest bought FA so its bundled forfree in all their business accounts now

No monthly fees, I just pay per transaction

That's interesting, I didn't know anyone offered per-transaction. Taking a quick look that's quite neat.

Moved from HSBC to Starling and Santander. Starling are better and seem to be the most professional of the challenger banks. One issue that is rare was sorted quickly. You can log on to their website too if you need to generate custom PDF/CSV bank statements for your records. For most use cases I think they will work just fine. They push to Xero and Freeagent too and it works well.

Mettle are owned by RBS, under both the Natwest and RBS brands. It isn't as slick and has bugs. If you want free Freeagent, just get a mettle account, transfer money to and from it infrequently and use Starling as your main business current account. I wouldn't trust mettle to use day to day, given how buggy their app is. Starling rates the highest and regularly receives awards for features and customer service.

Unfortunately Starling doesn't work with jailbroken phones - a must for technology professionals.

You can usually get one of those and set a diary entry to swap out in 2 years time or so.
