I had received a contract from my umbrella where the agency had stated the fee as £x per day. I told them to get it changed to £x per day excluding VAT . The agency has apparently declined to change the wording citing the contract is between the agency and umbrella and so they would not change it. This doesn't make sense to me at all as the contract should be absolutely explicit about whether a fee is excluding VAT or not . I have not faced this before.Has anyone else faced this or had issues related to this in the past?

The contract between the agency and umbrella is nothing to do with you. It's between the agency and the brolly.Originally posted by spritz View PostI had received a contract from my umbrella where the agency had stated the fee as £x per day. You don't need to get them to state exl VAT. It's standard in B2B that VAT is excluded.
