Ditto the above, no-one has said anything out turn here. You've gotten very clear and straightforward responses and a link to useful information. What more were you expecting? -

That might be true if HMRC applied any visible logic to who they would investigate and try to charge - but given their success rate it doesn't seem to be the case.Originally posted by LondonManc View PostMy point was that it makes you not one of the low-hanging fruit -Comment

What about switching to perm at the same client, but then doing 'permie' activities like interviewing, appraisals, etc?Originally posted by LondonManc View PostThe retro investigation by HMRC in the public sector suggests leave is the best action, almost a no-brainer.Comment

Eh?Originally posted by heyya99 View PostWhat about switching to perm at the same client, but then doing 'permie' activities like interviewing, appraisals, etc?
I had to read that twice and I still don't understand your logic.
You've gone from outside contractor, deciding your own status, to a permanent position with the same client doing the same job.
How do you think that this protects you from a retrospective investigation into the contract you held before you went permanent?
Take a moment, we can wait.Comment
