Extension time again and been at the place for 3 years. I've not had a rate rise since I started but told the agent my new rate is old one + 5%. Reasoning is lose of expenses and inflation as well as delivering many successful projects.

If you don't get the rise then it would indicate you aren't the above

If you do get the rise you are gonna look like a right eejit for waiting for 3 years to do this so indicating you aren't the above.

So on the face of it.. well you know.

No need, I told them my new rate, they either accept it or not, got plenty of other gigs I could take, like it here though as it's stress free. Does your plumber find out how much you earn before telling you his rate? Are you Permie or a contractor?

Go for your +5% I think you will find they get someone else its not like they have a small selection of candidates. They could easily get someone else on less than 15% of what your getting & save themselves some money at the same time.
