I received this morning my first email from an agency regarding GDPR, saying I had registered with them within the last 15 years and they were unable to retain my details without consent and to contact them if I wanted to remain registered with them.
Can't remember dealing with that exact agency so likely a one off CV application many years ago, so I will just ignore the email as it is not asking me to unsubscribe or any other potentially dodgy 'confirm email address is live' scam you come across.
Hopefully this is sign of things to come with GDPR in that if you ignore any emails they cannot receive permission to retain details so any that continue to pester you can be complained about via the official channels. Not sure how good the official channels will be at handling the shysters, we'll find out I suppose.Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment

They could have ploughed through them in a matter of weeks with all the automated calls crap they use, so before the authorities had time to arrange their first meeting to discuss action. Then re-schedule it when there weren't enough biscuits laid on.Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment
