Can't remember dealing with that exact agency so likely a one off CV application many years ago, so I will just ignore the email as it is not asking me to unsubscribe or any other potentially dodgy 'confirm email address is live' scam you come across.
Hopefully this is sign of things to come with GDPR in that if you ignore any emails they cannot receive permission to retain details so any that continue to pester you can be complained about via the official channels. Not sure how good the official channels will be at handling the shysters, we'll find out I suppose.

They could have ploughed through them in a matter of weeks with all the automated calls crap they use, so before the authorities had time to arrange their first meeting to discuss action. Then re-schedule it when there weren't enough biscuits laid on.

I appreciate we are talking of vast number of calls here but I bring up this example when I complain to a particular company. It appears to work.Last edited by northernladuk; 23 March 2018, 12:30.

That said now ASA have told him to stop I am sure he will be quivering in his boots and has ceased all dodgy carry ons

I seem to recognise at least one name on there and have had a number of GDPR mails from agents I've never heard off. Didn't take much notice so not sure who they are.
