I did assume the OP meant for contractors.. but thinking about it she didn't say (am I allowed to assume just because the OP has had a baby she is a she nowadays??) so could do with clarification from her.Originally posted by jmo21 View PostRBS - lots of WLB options for the permies (compressed weeks) and WFH options (2 days a week)'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

MyCo offers a great culture and work life balance.
OP, best bet if you can afford is to find a 3 or 4 day week contract (and I do know that's not always easy).Comment

take a contract then just don't work/bill for 1 or 2 days a week. If you meet the project deadlines they'll be happy as you're saving them money. It's a hands down IR35 win for not having SDC.Originally posted by northernladyuk View PostMyCo offers a great culture and work life balance.

LBG & HSBC are 2 to avoid due to massive cost cutting, outsourcing programs & poor work-life balance ratios. I would say avoid Financial Service sector altogether nowadays as most look to eventually shave costs to the bare minimum which means IT jobs will go first unless mission critical.Comment

LBG rubbish for working from home / work life balance. Will never return back there.
Current FS client allowing 5 days wfh if I want, although I go into the office 1 day week to check in on what's going on.______________________

As far as I can remember, I’ve always been a “she”Originally posted by northernladuk View PostI did assume the OP meant for contractors.. but thinking about it she didn't say (am I allowed to assume just because the OP has had a baby she is a she nowadays??) so could do with clarification from her.

Gr8! Please keep the inputs coming!
Does anyone know what it’s like at Capco? I’m considering both perm and contracts. Only thing that matters for the next 6-12months is the flexibility and wfh. It all seems more bearable when I’m just 5min drive away from my little girl’s nursery
