I have given up on jobserve recently. A couple of thousand applications for each advert.

Even caling did not seem to help.

Can't do any harm but anything past 200 applications does tend to turn the whole thing into a lottery.

Most agencies scan CVs this way..??? if so how to get to the front of queue..?

that is a 5 year project!..what can be done immediately...BTW I had fights with nearly all agencies I worked in the past..

Immediately? You call the agent to discuss the role before putting your CV in for it.
You submit your CV, wait a day then call them back to make sure they have, ask them what they think, and if they suggest it needs tweaking, you tweak it.

There is no silver bullet or short cuts. To increase your chances of getting put forward for a contract, you need to speak to the agent on the phone.

Any idiot can write and submit a CV. To rise above the level of idiot, you need to be proactive.

but rarely agents allows discussions on role, most of the time it will be diverted to VM! if they take the call max then will do is standard response " we got 100s of CV for this job, we will review and contact you if your CV is suitable"

You clearly haven't worked in sales or know people who have.

If you have, you know persistence pays off.
