Of course you have the minutes to back that up.
And the dates tie-in with dividend declarations.
And the flat was your registered company address.

            That's all OK then.

The flat wasn't my main residence, that was 200 miles away.

No tax is due if "it is necessary for you to live in the accommodation to perform your duties properly"

              You can stand down now.

                It's your risk.

Staying at the weekend is a BIK. If you get investigated expect a hefty bill. If you don't get investigated then all's good (if not morally).

Is this guy still alive? Has he had ever had heart failure or stroke? I am too negative, but there must positives in his point of view. Maybe he is the interim head of development or something way up the food chain equates with a terrific contract rates and perhaps he can work from home 1 day a week?

There was an ITV news program that I watched a 2 years ago about mental commutes to central London. The program might have been 'Tonight' special edition. Whatever. Because the program featured a husband and wife a couple commuting from Sheffield / Nottingham for 5 hours daily. It was completely bonkers at just 4-5 hours together at home for both.

Could be it's just for a single gig and the guy was on the bench for quite awhile. Sometimes you've got to put up with the crap to make ends meet. Doesn't mean it's for ever.
