Going to stick my neck out and suggest TCS employing a lot of Indians is due to them being an Indian company.
I would say take it up with the government for issuing the Visas but if they didn't they would probably offshore the work.Comment

Yes but Wipro and Cognizant are Indian companies but they hire non-Indian people. So why can't TCS?Originally posted by SussexSeagull View PostGoing to stick my neck out and suggest TCS employing a lot of Indians is due to them being an Indian company.

I would imagine because they feel they don't have to and it is cheaper to employ Indians than British people. Plus they can flog them to death.Originally posted by avonleigh View Post

Its been a while since I've done work with the Indian agencies but had the pleasure the last few weeks. I must say I'm impressed with what I'm seeing.
Plenty of resources and knowledge yet cheaper than our rates. It's giving me food for thought about the next 10 years.

IMV just a confirmation bias as per standard stereotype.Originally posted by SchumiStars View PostHas anyone ever landed a role with TCS?
I find them very odd. Usually low rates, usually technical roles but never seem to get pass the interview stages.
Wondering whether they just like wasting people's time as they have internal candiates?
I had one role with TCS 7 years ago paying around £1000/day (finance, travel was involved) and another one 3 years ago (for UK client in energy sector).
and I'm in no way Indian.Last edited by Yuri F; 21 February 2025, 11:43.Comment

The problem always used to be expectation management. They would have a month to do something and report no problems in meetings then a few days before they were due to finish would point out they had major delays.Comment

No. Other industries might have but IT not a chance. It's actually getting worst from what I am seeing. Contract market pretty much dead.Originally posted by BlueSharp View PostComment
