I am perm at the moment because I was fed up of living out of a suitcase, having spent 7 out of my 10 contracting years on the road. Throw in Brexit uncertainty and IR35 changes being rolled out and I valued the stability. I'm still on the forum because I've not said never again to contracting and need to keep tabs on the market. Unfortunately you lot are the best barometer for measuring it!

I left contracting years ago but I still pop in every so often. There is quite a wide range of knowledge here so there are sometimes interesting threads to read through.Originally posted by simes View PostWhich begs the polite question; why is he such a presence on a contractors' forum?

All potential clients said they decided to put their projects on hold likely until next year.Originally posted by elsergiovolador View PostI had a chat with two potential clients today, both outside IR35 and okay rate, plus three agents asked for availability and may have something. Surprisingly busy day.

This is a perfect lie, because if you say you are affected, he can say well, maybe you are not a real contractor...Originally posted by simes View PostPerhaps Jesse Norman could pop in to get a lie of the land too.
