Seriously though, you might well have been the best candidate.
They might have already had someone internal in mind. It might not be a real role. They might have made a decision by the time they got your CV, but felt obligated to interview you anyway. There are a million reasons why submitting your CV doesn't result in a contract, in spite of looking like a good match.
Like I keep repeating, none of the steps from you to a role are strongly linked.
If you feel bad about every application that doesn't result in a contract, I can understand how your mental health can be affected.
Logically, if a role is advertised it's real. If you submit the best CV, it should be yours.. it simply doesn't correlate that way in real life.
It's a numbers game. All your positive actions nudge the outcome towards something positive.
You have to keep using Linkedin and Jobserve (some other posters have made some excellent suggestions for other job sites that I did not know about), give you CV some attention, speak to dingus agents a lot. Do it enough and something will happen.
