Just did a credit check on a company I am thinking if doing business with. They are coming up as maximum risk with a CCJ registered with them in the last 3 months so loads of red flags. Any idea of how to find out what the CCJ is for. I just paid Home £8 to tell me this but they are saying the company has nothing registered against them in England and Wales.

You could try Duedil.com but you have to join to get in depth financial info however you could get it doing the free trial.
qhHe had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.
I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

Unfortunately not, the register will tell you the amount of the judgment but not the claimant details or anything else.Originally posted by davetza View PostAny idea of how to find out what the CCJ is for.
Might be worth looking at the directors previous companies (if they have any) if these had any CCJs or were short lived, zero rated companies our advice would be to avoid like the proverbial plague.Comment

I think these people *might* have that information. creditsafeuk.com. We had a client go into administration, these guys called up a while later trying to sell access to their site. They did a demo to me and it showed loads of unpaid CCJs with amounts for the client we had. We didn't go ahead and I'm not recommending them in any way, but they might be able to help you.Comment

I'd just walk, honestly. You are totally dependant on your client's solvency for getting paid and it's not worth the risk IMHO.Originally posted by davetza View PostJust did a credit check on a company I am thinking if doing business with. It's not necessarily a problem, depending on the size of the company. My client has hundreds of CCJs, but as a they're bank they're pretty indestructible. Too big to fail and all that.Comment

They get their data from the register here Home so it will show a judgment amount, date and case number. But they still wont have any details as to the plaintiff or reason for the claim.Originally posted by Lewis View PostI think these people *might* have that information. creditsafeuk.com. OP, you didn't mention you were thinking of contracting in to them, so can you say what sort of business you were thinking of doing with them?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

They are a builder. I did ask them and they have replied back stating that this was an error and the CCJ was issued to another company with a similiar name and that it takes a while for 3rd party provider like Experian who I was using to correct the info. This lines up with the fact that they are not on the Trust Online Data base when I checked which is the main source for this info.Originally posted by WTFH View PostOP, you didn't mention you were thinking of contracting in to them, so can you say what sort of business you were thinking of doing with them?Comment
