I always wonder if anyone ever bothers to check whether the list of clients on your cv are real or entirely made up by you. URLs of the company website could help with that.

Some websites have absolutely no useful information on the company.

QR codes are largely useless

I worked with a guy who was obsessed with using QR Codes for staff to obtain the latest and "greatest" internal app.

He didn't even get the irony when said QR code was sent to him in an e-mail which arrived on his iPad, that he had to take a photo of with his iPhone so he could then scan it back into his iPad.

Given the agencies strip out personal info incl. website details etc from CVs, is it deemed acceptable etiquette to hand over a business card at interview and let the client know they can view more details on the Ltd co. website?

Of course. Don't forget to get the client's card too.

You better be confident of the site content though, if pushing beyond a simple means of exchanging contact details.

my cv reads as a whos who, so no need for that and I assume the same applies to others
