After years of stress and dedication why we can't have some months or years of break!!!!
I understand why. Who doesn't understand it I feel very suspicious about what they have been doing at work.

When they check criminal records after a break they get many arrested? There is some statistics?

It sounds an excuse to know personal information.

Had an agent on the phone, once, asking about my year off, travelling.

He said "My clients may not like the fact you have had a year away"

I said "If that's the case, then I very much doubt I would like to work with them, anyway"

        End of conversation

If you read properly, I said they could get a DBS report so, you can get clearance.

All this tosh has come in because people bent over and took it balls deep. FFS crapita want you to declare what you did if there's a 28 day break. WTF do you think that came from?

Rocking in to multinational bank and telling them you are a director of a company so don't have to follow process is just... Mehhhh.

Remember the process is implemented and run by people that don't really give a crap. Do it or bugger off. You simply can't do business with that whoever you are.
Disagree all you want. Its there because people have been weak and acted like prospective employees.

If people who want to call themselves 'contractors' want to 'jump through hoops,' perhaps they should look to go permie instead?
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

After a sabbatical period I had a contract and I continue to have a couple of agencies asking questions about it. O lost the interest to apply for those agencies.

Instead of asking questions about my skills, they have concerns about the break in the past!!!!

They don't know anything about of being an IT Consultant.

            Sad world.

I can read thank you very much .

You don't get to choose what type of screening you have, you muppet.
You don't work in the IB space, anyway, so I would have to say your words mean very little.

Furthermore, it is anyone's right to refuse, you simply won't get onsite.

Yes we can, and we can also ruin our career.
