Mots of the people here are talking about IBs, in particular, in recent times.

What experiences do you have to share, within those criteria?

    Let me guess...

    None?

      Congratulations!

You've just proved to everyone else how stupid you are (I already knew that though )

        You're avoiding the question bud

IB, recent times, engaged in a role, you?

If you have and have managed to avoid all the screening nonsense, then I will shut right up

The sad truth here is that folk in the majority have no backbone - "if you have nothing to hide you'll cooperate". As a result this kind of thing has become "standard" and there's no going back.
The lack of people standing up for their privacy results in no privacy for anyone.

The status quo is the status quo, I just think it's a shame we got here. As it stands the choice is there, do it or move on. Me? I'll move on. No way on earth I'm allowing anyone to go digging through my private financial information (least of all the biggest bunch of thieving, tulip-faced, valueless twunts on the planet), if it costs me a few quid so be it. I'll make up the difference working the month you guys are benched and being "screened".
          I'm a smug bastard.

            +1,

One of the reasons I am currently a permit is it offers me more flexability and less scrutiny than contracting. This is a sad ******* state of affairs. As a permit I have rights all of a sudden, which were trampled on in contracting in the last 10 years.

Now, just need to get the contractor protocol set here, entrench myself and hire myself back as a contractor.

I left the UK in 1999.

No IR35 in Spain, it's just lots of sun, corruption and EU bailouts, the latter I thank you for.

If it's a deal breaker then just turn it down and sit on the bench. We can respect that...
Care to post your exact movements and whereabouts every day for the last 3 months here on the board then?

Its supposed to prove you have not been working elsewhere.
However, of course, it does not really do this, in practice.
