A perfectly reasonable and courteous response to your post, unlike your reply.

I wouldn't bother posting any further private messages to me about this, as really it should be posted in this thread anyway, for all to see.

Well if it was filled it happened between me posting the screen shot and you clicking the link

Timestamp on the screen shot is 16:07 today....

Stand by what I said, on the face of it it doesn't look great. I don't know all the facts and I trust my colleagues will investigate and deal with it appropriately.

The companies I represent in the UK should operate at the very highest professional level. If we ever fall short please post here or simply PM me (I'll do you the courtesy of not sharing it).

How would you have dealt had this 'fake' job (for now assume it is), was incorrectly titled "Network Engineer". It would have gone unnoticed.

I think I know what raphal is trying to say here, and if what I'm thinking is true, then it does raise the rather amusing point of just how many other jobs have there been/are there out there in the past and currently, that are also fake, but going un-noticed?

Well, since Andy has been a long term poster here (and I don't see any of the other big recruitment agencies bothering their barnies to come here), I think that reminding everyone of the rules regarding pasting PMs is due.

And I will also point out that I haven't seen any requests for this thread to be locked or removed.

And the merry go round continues. I'm sorry to say that I clicked on the next page to post something along the lines of "One of their directors will be along soon to explain it all away, but Computer Futures are up there with the biggest time wasting, bulltulipting, lying agencies that there are"

And I absolutely stand by that - the Birmingham office in particular have subjected me to some of the most random conversations I've ever had, send the crappiest pretend personal e-mails and lie through their bloody teeth. They are only one of two agencies that I outright avoid - as in, completely and utterly. They could phone me tomorrow with my dream role and I'd not even apply, because what's the bloody point!

Given that you're here, I don't doubt for a minute you mean everything you say - but Computer Futures have a bad reputation and it's for very good reason.

+1 I have had exactly the same experiences with CF, along with Progressive they are an agency I won't waste my time with even if it was as you say my 'dream(fake) job'.

Had a good long think about this over the weekend. Let it slide down the page or explain what we are doing about it? As a regular poster I thought it would be dis-ingenuous to hide away from it.

Recruitment agencies play a necessary part in the brokering of contractors to contract roles. The vast majority of end customers do not have the bandwidth or desire to trade with individuals. For now anyway the symbiotic circle continues, but disruptive innovations may change this medium to long term. The challenge for recruitment companies is how to move away from 'necessary evil' to 'valued resource', if we don't make that leap we risk going the same way as Bookshops and Black Cabs when Amazon and Uber effectively re-platformed the marketplace.

Over the last year we've recognised this, and have embarked on a massive programme to align ourselves to the needs of customers. The very first step was to benchmark where we are. We've done that my implementing a NPS (Net Promoter Score) system, conducted numerous surveys and also engaged a consultancy to host focus groups to see what clients and contractors think of us. As you can imagine it made pretty grim reading in parts, so we know we have a problem. Irrelevant mailshotting, not calling after an unsuccessful interview and being transactional were common themes. The good news for us is that as an industry the bar is pretty low, so there is a real opportunity for us to differentiate ourselves by improving some basics across our teams. We have the commitment from the very top to change this, and we will.

One of the posts above posed the question, "how do you know what is going on?". Well that is simple, we create the culture where we reward customer excellence. The NPS score can be driven down from Brand > Office > Team > Consultant > Activity, in essence we do more of what delights and less of what pisses people off.

Having flagged this thread, I said today at our UK&I Board that I wouldn't continue to post these messages unless all my fellow Directors were fully behind getting the very best Systems, Processes and Culture into our UK business. I have unanimous support for that, and as such felt supported to post.
