Leaving mid contract - how to tell the client?

    Hi,
I ve never been in this situation - so, can i please have your suggestions?
I started a contract at this large ibank last december. I accepted an extension in June. Things got progressively worse since then. The project is sinking - lots of programme level issues- and looks like it"ll be scrapped.
i luckily found a new contract now. What do I tell the client/ agency so as to minimise damage? i know they wont be very happy with this - but im not sure they will have work for me after a cppl of months.

    Cheers

I have a 2 week notice. I am happy to work a cppl of weeks beyond this and even support my replacement for a few more weeks after i leave.

You could try using the search function as detailed here..

Plenty of people that can't make a business decision have asked the same question.

                Northernladuk is right

Not being funny but if you need to ask advice on a public forum about such basic matters you are clearly not suited to being a contractor.

With an attitude like that, good luck.

Not the first time we've seen the attitude either, common in a certain subset of posters.
