    Big Data or Payments

Got a choice of 2 gigs, one rolling out a big data capability the other creating a payments channel

What's the best for the CV?
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

Personally that is the wrong option. What contract gives you the most £££ next time around?

No point being well paid on a dead end project your can't move on from...

From the two I think the Big Data one will pay more money next time round... Payment channels aren't anywhere near as CV sexy....

Big data, if it's a good gig. Any moron can get a payments role - from what i've seen they're generally all hacked together pieces of tulip.

Big data requires something a bit less generic than general hacking prowess (and a tolerance for it). Big Data is something i've got my eye on as I've dipped my toes but not really enough to sell yet.

Big Data was my thought, but I can't justify it.

          You need a polll!

Yep but subtlety doesn't translate online and many contractors really don't think about things long term. They look at the now and ignore the future...

You're a contractor. No one else in the world has it easier to "move on" from one project/gig to the next...

                  I vote for payments.

Big Data strikes me as a bubble area.

Payments will never go out of fashion, they will just evolve over time. It has been and probably always will be a niche area.

                    I vote for Big Data.

Things in technology tend to evolve to have more uses.

Payments you can go back to any time.
