i ask for opinions because i am interested in what people think. what im not interested in is people who think they know it all and choose to throw around personal opinions and abuse.

On another note LI is turning more and more into Facebook every day, got an email the other day inviting me to wish happy birthday to a contact FFS

FaceBook has never asked me to congratulate someone on a new job or a work-anniversary.

You ask for opinions and then the moment they're not ones you like you say you aren't interested in what random people on the internet think.

If you're interested in what people think, why aren't you interested when people think they know it all?

If you ask for opinions, why aren't you interested in personal opinions? What kind of opinions are you looking for?

TBH I don't have anything to say to some of my old contacts on linkedin from years ago that still might be useful so dropping them a note just to say Happy Birthday seems to be a fairly good way of keeping you on their radar.
