Yeh Been told how good im doing by other managers. Dont care if Im not popular but seem to get picked up on stupid things like where were you this morning at 10am (doctors appt and I did tell you), dont do this, dont do that etc.

I agree with you. I just want to do the job. At the moment I can't because it seems for some reason I've been flagged up as someone who doesnt fit in. Permie here- gives me nightmare just thinking about it.

Stupid thing is the work is getting done and they admit that but theres definitely an attitude that your face has got to fit, just doing the work is not enough, you've got to look good too - which I aint interested in. Dont want to be best mates with all the permies.

I find it better if you try and get on with the permies, makes life much easier than appearing aloof and detached/withdrawn.

Ah I see. To be fair I wasn't suggesting he was or coming to any conclusions. I was asking if he has considered it.

Just a throwaway comment on D&C working practices going down the IR35 route when we don't even know if he's brolly or ltd.

I would work out the last few weeks and look around for another contract.

I know what people say about carry on and invoice and I agree to a certain point. But life is too short to work in tulipty places.
