Trucks stuck in Calais for days!

(Note that the references to EU-UK red tape are slightly disingenuous as the issue is due to HMRC)
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Actually they are due to HMRC deploying a new customs system to EU users as a result of us leaving the EU, they mention some users have confusion over the new codes, there is no suggestion the system is not working just that the users don't understand it. I personally would have phased it so heavy users were trained up and using it months ago.

Live updates on lorry border waiting times here: https://live.sixfold.com/
And before the brexsh!teers start shouting I can see red in other place on the map; Note that the colours are misleading as it can be red for 1 hour waiting time for one particular crossing or amber for 27 hours for another

I see that there are very long queues although they've now turned off the cameras that show them on the M20

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I presume switching traffic cameras off on the M20 to avoid pictures of horrendous Lorry queues into Folkestone/Dover is where… “I have seen no evidence of this…” starts. Obviously denying reality is very much the best and bravest way to fix the problems that it presents.

If you zoom in on the satellite image in Google maps you can even see the queues on the A20 near Dover

My truck got stuck due to unexpected road closures and severe weather conditions. It was a logistical nightmare, and I needed more time and money. The situation got so bad that I had to buy another truck to ensure I had a backup plan in case something like that happened again. <mod snip>sleeper spammer<mod snip>

My advice would be to make sure you've got enough essentials with you, like food and water, especially if you're stuck for an extended period. Also, it's good to keep updated with traffic reports or any official updates on the situation. Last time, I found a local radio station and some online forums quite helpful for real-time updates.
Try the other routes, via Portsmouth, via Newhaven, via Harwich.

It's too cold to get your chopper out.
