At the most recent poll, the majority (52%) wanted to stay in the EU so he won't be able to please them. That said, a majority of the population voted for Boris. Make of that what you can. Certainly polls showed as Brexit progressed, Brexiteers became more and more disillusioned. They realised the benefits were much less than promised and the price to pay much higher. However they got mesmerized by the right wing press in this country into thinking 'democracy' should be respected and they got so fed up with the pain and disconnect with their self delusion that they just wanted it over and done with, however damaging. They also were inclined to project this conflict onto the EU - it was the EU bully boys who were frustrating their silly dream, and they were not inclined to give into bullying.Originally posted by Whorty View Post
