Oh, that old canard. Successive UK governments have run down the smaller boat fishing industry anyway - the owners of the handful of the very big trawlers (permitted by the UK government) are the ones making profits, and will continue to do so, post brexit. Small boats are marginal and will continue to be, post brexit.

Interestingly, the EU has rules that should help the small boat fishermen, but the UK ignores those rules.
